I have added a little to the draft Piers has done. It was pretty much exactly as I would have written it. I’ve added photos below. Players and spectators enjoyed near perfect conditions for the Club’s opening weekend at New Park, which also saw the launch of the brilliant new café Dots and Stripes, in the clubhouse.  The  ground was  in superb condition following it’s winter’s rest andearly preparation by the Club’s team, making for a smooth and easy riding surface. The Dunlop Cup was played for on the Sunday, with two teams made up from all age groups within the Club, playing a 5 chukka match. The standard of play by the junior players played testament to the amount of indoor training that has gone on at New Forest PoloSchool during the winter months. On the day, the New Forest White team won by 6 goals to 3. The team was made up of Nick Ghessari, Alice Wright, Nereda Parry -Joyner, Megan Barnes and Maddie Emmel. Most valuable Player was awarded to George Williams, who was key to keeping the opposing team’s win to the narrow margin. Next week the trophy up for grabs is the Chaplin Cup. Please do come down to New Park in Brockenhurst for a lovely family friendly afternoon at the polo. Polo will be starting from 2pm on both Saturday and Sunday. The Dots and Stripes cafe will be open from1pm in both days.Hugh
